If you're a senior manager or specialist employee of an overseas business that has not yet started trading in the UK, you can apply for a UK Expansion Worker visa to come to the UK and establish a branch of that business.

Has and will continue to have its headquarters and centre of operations based outside the UK

Intends to open and operate a branch office or wholly-owned subsidiary in the UK
DURATION

Stay up to 12 months from the start date or specified duration + 14 days.

Extend for an additional 12 months.

THE APPLICANT

Was recruited overseas by the parent company

Is setting up the organisation's initial presence in the UK

Has a great deal of experience, skills, and knowledge of the parent company and its industry

The applicant must not have a majority stake in or ‘’otherwise own or control’’ the overseas parent company. The applicant should, however, be a senior employee of the overseas parent company and can be a minority shareholder.
