UK Expansion Worker Visa​ (Global Business Mobility)

If you're a senior manager or specialist employee of an overseas business that has not yet started trading in the UK, you can apply for a UK Expansion Worker visa to come to the UK and establish a branch of that business.

* Before you submit the registration form make sure you fulfil the eligibility requirements below:

THE ORGANISATION

  • Is an active and trading overseas business

  • Has and will continue to have its headquarters and centre of operations based outside the UK

  • Intends to open and operate a branch office or wholly-owned subsidiary in the UK

 DURATION

  • Stay up to 12 months from the start date or specified duration + 14 days.

  • Extend for an additional 12 months.

  • Maximum stay: 2 years.

THE APPLICANT

  • Was recruited overseas by the parent company

  • Is setting up the organisation's initial presence in the UK

  • Has a great deal of experience, skills, and knowledge of the parent company and its industry

  • The applicant must not have a majority stake in or ‘’otherwise own or control’’ the overseas parent company. The applicant should, however, be a senior employee of the overseas parent company and can be a minority shareholder.

  • You do not hold more than 50% of the shares

  • You do not intend to take additional employment

  • Has the required knowledge of English

  • Has sufficient funds to support themselves and any dependents during their leave to remain​​
